Owner & Director
Originally from Iowa, I embraced the charm of Georgia when I moved to Alpharetta in 1990, and now call Canton my home. Married to Guy Skinner, I've cherished raising our three remarkable daughters – Lauren, Macie, and Lexi. Family has always been my cornerstone, and witnessing our daughters blossom into accomplished professionals fills me with immense pride.
Throughout my journey in Alpharetta, my passion for nurturing and educating children has been a consistent part of my life. My tenure at Primrose School from 1991 to 1998, where I served as the school Director, laid the foundation for my dedication. After taking a hiatus to focus on raising our girls, I resumed my career at Fulton County Schools from 2006 to 2012, supporting children with special needs as a Paraprofessional. Since 2012, I've been an integral part of the RISPA staff, where I continue to thrive.
Witnessing the transformative power of performing arts on young minds fuels my deep appreciation and love for RISPA. This led to our decision to assume ownership of the business and continue its great legacy in the community. Contributing to the growth and development of our youth brings me immense joy. Seeing them grow in acting, singing, and dancing, and watching their newfound confidence and skills, fills me with gratification as I know it's preparing them for their diverse life pursuits.
