Hip Hop and Contemporary
Ryann Leak is from Atlanta, Georgia, and began training at the age of seven at the Renaissance International School of Performing Arts (RISPA), primarily focusing on the Hip Hop style. But, as her training progressed, Ryann expanded her dance training and knowledge to include the styles of Jazz and Musical Theater. At the beginning of 2020, Ryann was accepted into the Kennesaw State University (KSU) Dance program, where she continued to extensively train in Modern dance, under the direction of Autumn Eckman, Sean Nguyen Hilton, Lisa K. Lock, and Andrea Knowlton. But she also strived to deepen her knowledge in the Contemporary, Ballet, Tap, and Jazz dance genres.
While being a part of the KSU Dance program, Ryann served as a member of the Dance Company and the Dance Honors Society, where she was President. Ryann has been fortunate to work with artists such as Annalee Traylor, Jamal White, Caitlin Gray, and Nicola Wills, as well as with companies BODYTRAFFIC and SOMOS Dance Company. Ryann completed her Bachelor of Arts in Dance, with a minor in Nutritional Science in 2024. After graduation, Ryann has been active within the Contemporary dance community in Atlanta. Ryann is excited to be back with her RISPA family.
