Shonquay Kendall Washington started his dance career with a dance group called Expo. After a couple years with Expo, he segued from the group and became the Choreographer and Director of the Devastation Dance Crew for eleven years. As Director of Devastation, he trained many inner-city youths in Creative Dance, Street Funk and the Hip Hop Culture of Dance. Through his teachings, he and numerous of his dancers were afforded the opportunity to perform Worldwide. Competing and performing places such as the World’s famous Apollo in NYC Winning 5 times, BET 106 & Parks “Wild out Wednesday” for 4 rounds, Dance Saints Dance with artist such as Tye Tribbett and competing in the infamous WOD dance competition on several occasions. Shonquay is known as the icon of Dance in the City of Trenton NJ. Shonquay and some of his dancers have auditioned and danced alongside some great artist in the Music industry; Mariah Carey, Lil Mama, Wycleff Jean, Ashanti, and D’Atri Hick; to name a few. He has received numerous awards and accolades.
